Alban Manishimwe – AI and Data Scientist Researcher

Hi! I’m Alban Manishimwe 👋, a Data Scientist and AI researcher based in Kampala, Uganda 🇺🇬. I specialize in responsible AI, machine learning, and data-driven systems for public and enterprise applications.

Currently, I work at the Uganda Bureau of Statistics, leading AI and data science projects, and I have consulted for international organizations such as DEJ Technology GmbH, United Nations Foundation, and GIZ Uganda. My work spans AI system design, large-scale data engineering, and model development, with practical applications in statistical systems, recruitment platforms, and urban analytics.

I’m passionate about building ethical, impactful, and scalable AI solutions, developing tools that turn complex data into actionable insights, and mentoring the next generation of data professionals.
